Crisis Intervention

Crisis intervention refers to the immediate and focused response provided by healthcare professionals to individuals experiencing a mental health crisis or emergency situation. They aim to provide rapid and effective support to individuals with the goal of promoting stabilization, recovery, and long-term mental wellness. This may be used in different forms, for example, dispatch mobile crisis teams consisting of mental health professionals to provide on-site assistance and support to individuals experiencing a mental health crisis or, stabilization units to offer short – term inpatient care to provide a safe and supportive environment for stabilization and recovery.
